COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed as a gentle introduction to Austen’s work and to Pride and Prejudice by means of CALL. All the class is conducted in virtual world applying blog, Skype and Facebook to ease the teaching learning process. The media of literary works used is Audiobook. It is especially concerned with easing students’ way into Austen’s language and style as well as motivating them to engage with the literary works and continue listening it.

COURSE GOALS
  1. To introduce students to literary works in general and Pride and Prejudice in particular
  2. To engage students with the text and encourage comprehending literary works by means of audiobook
  3. To help student to get acquainted with some language related to literature
  4. To help students to (re)conceptualize ideas and concepts from the literary text and connect them with their own lives and experiences
  5. To help students to develop critical and analytical reading skills
  6. To engage students with literary criticism on Austen’s work
  7. To provide opportunities to develop the four skills, especially Listening and speaking
COURSE MATERIALS
1.      Audiobook of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
2.      All the materials is provided on Blog (e-literature)

COURSE FORMAT
This course is organized in an online format. The format of most classes will consist of:
1.      Every student listens to audiobook;
2.      Every student comprehends the works through guideline questions in worksheet;
3.      Every student makes a video as the response on the guideline questions above.
4.      Every student makes the interactive work sessions involving peer reporting feedback and critique toward other friends video. The feedback and critique can be in the form of writing or video (speaking) 

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
1.      Critical engagement with assigned readings and active participation.
2.      Presentation of literature analysis (video form)
3.      Peer review; feedback and critique (writing or speaking (video))

GRADING
Video presentation                               :40%
Peer review                                         :30%
Final exam (retelling the whole story)    : 30%
